Who can take part

  • You are able to give permission (informed consent) in English.
  • You are being treated for alcohol or opioid use disorder.
  • You have no history of seizures, stroke, brain surgery, or serious head injury.
  • You do not have metal implants in your head or body that would interfere with magnetic stimulation.
  • You have not taken benzodiazepines (like Valium) in the last 48 hours.
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding, and have no major heart problems.
