- You are 18 years old or older
- You are between 18 weeks and 0 days and 19 weeks and 6 days pregnant, confirmed by ultrasound
- You want to have a dilation and evacuation (D&E) abortion procedure as an outpatient
- You can understand English or Spanish and give your consent
- You have someone to drive you home after the procedure and can follow fasting rules (no food for 6 hours before)
- You do not have a medical condition requiring surgery in an operating room
