  • Had a health check-up at Ningbo No. 1 Hospital between 2017 and 2024.
  • You were 18 years or older at the time of that check-up.
  • You had an ultrasound of your abdomen during that check-up.
  • Your body mass index (BMI) was 18.5 or higher at the start of the study.
  • You did not already have fatty liver disease or another liver condition at the start.
  • You did not have high uric acid levels at the start.
