Who can take part
- You must have a confirmed type of lung cancer called non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), such as adenocarcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, or large cell carcinoma.
- A PET-CT scan must show that the cancer has spread to lymph nodes on the opposite side of the chest (this is called N3 stage).
- You should be between 18 and 75 years old.
- Your heart and lungs must be healthy enough for major surgery, with good heart function (LVEF of 45% or higher) and lung function (FEV1 of 50% or more of predicted).
- The tumor must be removable by surgery, with no signs of spread to other parts of the body like the liver, bones, or brain.
- You must be in good overall health, able to do daily activities on your own (ECOG score 0 or 1), and willing to sign a consent form.
