Who can take part

  • You are 18 years old or older.
  • You are scheduled to get a new pacemaker or defibrillator (including leadless or under-the-skin types).
  • You can understand how to use a VR headset and report your pain level on a 0–10 scale.
  • You do not have severe memory, thinking, or mental health problems that would prevent you from taking part.
  • You do not have severe vision, hearing, or balance problems that could be made worse by VR.
