Who can take part

  • You are 18 or older.
  • You are missing a single back tooth (premolar or molar) in your lower jaw.
  • Your gum tissue at that spot is thin (between 1 and 2 mm thick).
  • You have at least 2 mm of firm, attached gum on both the cheek and tongue sides of where the implant will go.
  • You are not a heavy smoker (more than 10 cigarettes per day) and do not have untreated diabetes or bone conditions.
  • You are not pregnant, breastfeeding, or allergic to the study materials.
