Expectation Effects on Emotional Processing

This study looks at how what we expect affects how we process emotions. It uses an MRI scanner to measure brain activity while you see emotional images or cues. You must be a healthy German-speaking adult between 18 and 35.

Who can take part

  • You must be between 18 and 35 years old.
  • You must be able to have an MRI scan (no metal implants, no claustrophobia, etc.).
  • You must have normal or corrected-to-normal vision (glasses/contacts are okay).
  • You must speak German fluently.
  • You cannot be pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • You cannot have a current or past psychiatric or neurological condition.
