Who can take part
- You are 19 to 79 years old.
- You have a wound on your lower leg from Mohs surgery for a type of skin cancer that is not melanoma.
- Your wound will heal on its own without stitches (by secondary intention) and is smaller than 5 inches by 5 inches.
- You can change the vacuum device at home by yourself or with help.
- You do not have diabetes, vein disease, artery disease, or an active infection.
- You are not a current smoker and have not smoked more than a pack a day for 10 years.
- You have not used steroids for more than 6 weeks in the past year, nor had chemotherapy or HIV.
- You are not allergic to adhesives, and your wound does not expose bone, tendon, ligament, or nerve.
