Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with a specific type of bile duct cyst called Todani type IVa.
  • You are between 0 and 80 years old, male or female.
  • This would be your first surgery for this condition.
  • Your bile ducts must be normal within the pancreas.
  • The length of the new bowel connection (Roux loop) must be within a certain range during surgery.
  • You must not have other surgeries that could interfere, or cancer, or leftover stones in the bile ducts.
