Who can take part

  • Your child must be between 3 and 12 years old.
  • They must have a confirmed rare genetic disorder.
  • They should be able to tap on an iPad (by themselves or copying you) and have enough hearing to use the device.
  • Your child should be 'minimally verbal' — meaning they use fewer than 50 different words or short phrases on their own.
  • They should not already be using a speech-generating device every day as their main way to talk.
  • Your family needs to live in the state of Victoria, Australia, and be comfortable with English for the therapy sessions.
