  • Your child must be between 1 and 10 years old
  • Your child has been seen at a special clinic for swallowing and breathing problems
  • Your child has shown signs of liquid going into the airway on a special X-ray swallow test
  • Your child needs thickened liquids to drink safely and can't stop after trying for 2 months
