- You are between 18 and 75 years old
- Your body mass index (BMI) is 35 or higher
- You are scheduled for a robotic sleeve gastrectomy
- You do not have a condition called gastroparesis (slow stomach emptying)
- You are not pregnant
- You do not have a pacemaker, defibrillator, or similar device
- You have not smoked or used tobacco in the last 30 days
- You are not allergic to the gel used for the nerve-stimulation band
