Who can take part

  • You must be 18 years or older.
  • You must have preeclampsia (or be suspected of having it).
  • You must be willing to have tests to check your blood vessels.
  • You cannot have certain health conditions like glaucoma, epilepsy, diabetes (including gestational diabetes), high cholesterol, kidney disease, autoimmune disorders, or connective tissue diseases.
  • You must not be pregnant with more than one baby or have a baby with known birth defects.
