Who can take part
- You have been diagnosed with stage 0, I, II, or III breast cancer (including DCIS) and plan to have radiation after surgery.
- You are 18 or older and were assigned female at birth.
- You are able to understand and sign a consent form.
- Your overall health status is good enough (Karnofsky score 70% or higher).
- You are not pregnant or breastfeeding, and if you could become pregnant, you agree to use effective birth control during treatment.
- For the first six participants only: you have very dark skin (Fitzpatrick type 5 or 6).
