Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You have chronic pancreatitis with severe pain (needing morphine) or at least 3 acute attacks per year.
  • Your pancreatic duct is widened (at least 5 mm) and the head of the pancreas is not enlarged (less than 40 mm).
  • You have not had prior pancreatic surgery.
  • You are not pregnant.
