Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 65 years old.
  • Your body mass index (BMI) is between 18 and 28.
  • You are scheduled for a hysteroscopy (a scope placed through the vagina to look at the uterus) under general anesthesia.
  • You have no known problems with your airway (like trouble opening your mouth, sleep apnea, or a history of difficult breathing during anesthesia).
  • You are not taking blood-thinning medications and have no active nose or throat infection.
