How cervical mucus changes during your cycle

Cervical Mucus

This study looks at how the mucus in your cervix changes during your menstrual cycle. You will take a medication for a short time to see how it affects the mucus, which may help understand fertility and contraception.

Who can take part

  • You have regular periods (every 25–35 days) for the last 3 cycles.
  • Your BMI is between 18 and 35.
  • You can have blood drawn on short notice (within 48 hours).
  • You have not used hormone-based birth control or IUDs recently.
  • You are not pregnant, trying to get pregnant, or breastfeeding, and you agree to use non-hormonal birth control.
  • You do not have certain medical conditions like diabetes, PCOS, or a history of blood clots.
