Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You have been diagnosed with liver cirrhosis.
  • You have had an endoscopy to check for enlarged veins in your esophagus or stomach.
  • You have not had bleeding from those veins in the last 14 days (if you are in the pressure measurement group).
  • You are able to hold a handgrip device and have not had hand or wrist surgery in the last 3 months.
