- You must be 18 or older
- You must have a confirmed diagnosis of lupus (SLE)
- You cannot have taken antibiotics or acid-reducing medications (PPIs) in the last 4 weeks
- You cannot have had stomach surgery or stomach cancer
- You cannot be pregnant or breastfeeding
- You cannot have another autoimmune disease besides lupus
