Who can take part

  • You must be 18 years or older and have health insurance or be in a special program (VSC) in Chile.
  • You need a full-thickness wound (through all layers of skin) that is clean and has healthy pink tissue inside.
  • Your wound must be between about 5 cm x 5 cm (25 cm²) and 14 cm x 14 cm (200 cm²).
  • You cannot have a serious mental health condition that might affect your ability to follow the study.
  • The wound should not have any bone, tendon, or major blood vessels showing.
