Who can take part
- You must be between 30 and 60 years old
- You need to be generally healthy (no uncontrolled diabetes, autoimmune diseases, or osteoporosis)
- You have not had any gum (periodontal) treatment in the last 6 months
- You do not take certain medications like immunosuppressants, long-term steroids, or anticonvulsants
- You have not taken antibiotics or anti-inflammatory drugs in the past 3 months
- You do not smoke and have not smoked in the last year
