  • You are between 16 and 30 years old.
  • You are about to start fixed braces (orthodontic treatment) for the first time.
  • You do not have any active gum disease (like swollen or bleeding gums).
  • You are not currently taking antibiotics.
  • You do not have any condition that affects the shape of your face or skull.
  • You do not have a mix of baby and adult teeth (mixed dentition).
