Who can take part

  • You are at least 18 years old.
  • You have been diagnosed with a digestive system cancer (such as stomach, colon, or pancreatic) that has spread to the lining of your belly, causing fluid buildup (malignant ascites).
  • You have moderate or large amounts of this belly fluid that either hasn't been treated before or has come back after other treatments.
  • You have a large tumor mass in your belly (at least 5 cm) that can be targeted with radiation.
  • You are generally well enough to care for yourself (ECOG score 0-2) and have adequate organ function (heart, lungs, blood counts, kidney, liver).
