Who can take part

  • You are pregnant and at least 20 weeks along.
  • You are admitted to the antepartum (pregnancy-related) unit at Duke University Hospital.
  • Your baby has not passed away (no stillbirth) and you are not in the ICU.
  • You are not receiving magnesium sulfate or just started strong blood pressure medicine in the last 8 hours.
  • You do not have an urgent health issue that would make waiting for the doctor unsafe.
