  • You are 8 to nearly 20 weeks pregnant with one baby.
  • You have a higher chance of preterm birth due to health conditions (like high blood pressure or diabetes), past pregnancy issues, or certain risk factors (like being Black or having a low income).
  • You plan to get prenatal care at UNC Chapel Hill clinics and deliver at UNC Women's Hospital.
  • You are willing to be randomly assigned to either a special stress-reduction program or standard care.
  • You can give consent in English or Spanish.
