This study tracks how well women recover after surgery for advanced pelvic organ prolapse. You will wear a small activity monitor before and after surgery to see how your activity level changes, and you'll follow a simple exercise plan to help your recovery.

Who can take part

  • You are planning to have surgery for apical prolapse (the top of the vagina) through a laparoscope, robot, or vagina (not a large belly cut).
  • Your prolapse is at least stage 3, which is the most advanced stage.
  • You are willing to wear an activity tracker (like a Fitbit) before and after surgery, and use a study app on your smartphone.
  • You are willing to follow a moderate exercise program after surgery.
  • Your hospital stay is expected to be 1 day or less after surgery.
  • You can read and agree to the study information in English or Spanish.
