Who can take part
- You are male and have had sex with a man in the past 6 months.
- You live in the Johannesburg area and plan to stay for the next 6 months.
- You can communicate in English.
- You currently take HIV medication (if HIV-positive) or daily PrEP (if HIV-negative) from the POP INN clinic.
- If HIV-positive, your last HIV viral load test in the past 6 months showed 200 or more copies/mL.
- If HIV-negative, you miss 3 or more PrEP pills per week.
- You have had moderate depression symptoms in the past 2 weeks (scoring 10 to 19 on a depression quiz).
- You are not currently in mental health therapy.
- You agree to have counseling sessions audio-recorded.
