Fatty Liver Study in Older Adults

NAFLD and NASHNAFLD( Non-alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease )NAFLD Cirrhosis

Part of Digestive system clinical trials.

This study follows older adults with fatty liver disease to understand how their metabolism changes over time and how it affects their overall health. It helps researchers learn more about the condition and its impact on the body outside the liver.

Liver fibrosis screening for at-risk adults

This study tests a way to find liver scarring (fibrosis) early in people who have risk factors like being overweight, having type 2 diabetes, or drinking alcohol heavily. Early detection may help prevent serious liver damage.

NCT03151473Recruiting
Study of adults with fatty liver and NASH over time

This is a long-term study that follows adults who are being managed for fatty liver (NAFL) or NASH to learn how these conditions change over time. It may help researchers better understand what to expect and how care decisions could be improved.

Hong Kong
NCT02422238Recruiting
Study of fatty liver in adults, using MRI and stored samples

This study follows people with nonalcoholic fatty liver disease to better understand the condition. It uses an MRI scan and collects body samples to help researchers study changes over time.

NCT03282305Not yet recruiting
Study tracks fat buildup and progression in Chinese liver disease

This study follows people with fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and a related condition (NASH) to see how it changes over time. It may help researchers understand who is most likely to worsen and what patterns show up as the disease progresses.

NCT04036357Recruiting
Study of liver fat disease with heart and metabolism problems

This study looks at people with fatty liver disease and common health issues like obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure, or abnormal cholesterol. It may help researchers understand how liver fat and heart/metabolism problems relate and how they affect health over time.

Rome
NCT04371042Recruiting
Study of liver disease and genes in people with fatty liver

This study collects information about metabolic and unexplained (cryptogenic) liver disease and looks at “omics” tests, which are lab tests that measure patterns in blood or tissue to learn what drives the disease. It may help researchers better understand fatty liver and related serious complications, like liver scarring and liver cancer.
