Who can take part

  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • You must have been told by a doctor that you have metabolic syndrome or prediabetes.
  • For metabolic syndrome: you need at least three of these five signs: large waist size or high BMI, high fasting blood sugar, high blood pressure, high triglycerides, or low good cholesterol.
  • For prediabetes: your average blood sugar over 2-3 months (HbA1c) must be between 5.7% and 6.4%.
  • You must be willing to complete basic health checks and sign a consent form.
  • You cannot have any other condition that might make the study unsafe or hard to follow.
