Who can take part

  • Your child must be between 5 and 18 years old
  • They will be having general anesthesia (medication to make them sleep) for surgery
  • Their overall health must be rated as ASA I to IV (normal health to serious, but stable, illness)
  • You must give permission by signing a consent form
  • Your child's breathing tube will be placed using a special video camera device (not the usual method)
