Who can take part
- You have one leg amputated below the knee (transtibial) due to injury, birth defect, or cancer, not from blood vessel problems or diabetes.
- If you have a bone-anchored implant (a metal rod attached to the bone), it must have been placed more than 12 months ago. If you use a traditional socket, your amputation must be more than 12 months old.
- You must be willing to use a low-profile prosthetic foot (the standard, slim style).
- You can walk without help for at least 5 minutes.
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You cannot have other major amputations, medical conditions that affect balance, inflammatory diseases, diabetes, or be pregnant or breastfeeding.
