Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You have a stone in your ureter and are scheduled for ureteroscopy (a scope procedure) to remove it.
  • You already have a stent (a small tube) placed in your ureter before this procedure.
  • You do not have complex ureter problems like narrowings (strictures).
  • Your stone is not stuck (impacted).
  • You do not have only one kidney.
  • You do not have large kidney stones (bigger than 3mm).
  • You have not had any ureter surgeries before (except endoscopic stone treatments).
  • You are not pregnant or suspected to be pregnant.
