Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older
- You have a single kidney stone (6–20 mm) blocking your upper ureter and causing complete urine blockage (anuria)
- You have only one functioning kidney (either by birth or due to prior loss/removal)
- The stone is confirmed by a CT scan without contrast dye
- You are a candidate for flexible ureteroscopy (a minimally invasive camera procedure to remove the stone)
- You have no signs of septic shock, unstable vital signs, or need for emergency dialysis at the time of screening
