Who can take part
- You are scheduled for an arm, forearm, or hand surgery (below the middle of the upper arm).
- You are between 18 and 70 years old.
- You are in ASA class I, II, or III (generally healthy or have mild to moderate health problems).
- You are male or a woman who is not pregnant.
- You do not have nerve damage in the arm being operated on.
- You do not have a bleeding disorder or a known allergy to the medicines used in the study.
