Who can take part

  • You have stomach, esophagus, or gastroesophageal junction cancer that can be surgically removed and is stage II or higher.
  • Your cancer cells must show a certain level of PD-L1 (a protein that can help cancer hide from the immune system).
  • You are willing to have biopsies and blood samples taken to check for biomarkers.
  • You have adequate organ function and are in generally good health (ECOG performance status 0 or 1).
  • You have not had prior treatment with certain targeted therapies or checkpoint inhibitors.
