Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with liver cancer (hepatocellular carcinoma).
  • You are scheduled for surgery to remove the tumor.
  • Your scans show the tumor is hard to see clearly near important blood vessels.
  • Your liver function is good (Child-Pugh Grade A).
  • You are healthy enough for surgery (ASA class I to III).
  • You agree to let the study use a small piece of your removed tumor tissue.
