Fluorescence-guided surgery for liver cancer

Who can take part

  • You are 18 to 80 years old.
  • You have been diagnosed with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), the most common type of liver cancer, and will have surgery to remove the tumor with a special dye that helps the surgeon see the cancer clearly.
  • Your liver function is good enough (Child-Pugh class A or B) and you are healthy enough for surgery (ASA score I-III, ECOG 0-2).
  • Your cancer has not spread into the main blood vessels of the liver or to other parts of the body.
  • You have not had any prior treatment for liver cancer (like chemo, radiation, or TACE) or had liver surgery before.
