Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with severe aplastic anemia (SAA) and your bone marrow isn't making enough blood cells.
  • You are 18 years or older and have an ECOG performance status of 2 or better (able to do most daily activities).
  • You have already tried at least 4 months of standard immune-suppressing therapy plus a TPO-RA (a medication to boost platelets) without success, or your disease came back after treatment.
  • You are not able to have or choose not to have a stem cell transplant from a donor.
  • You do not have other bone marrow diseases like MDS, Fanconi anemia, or uncontrolled infections, bleeding, or certain blood test abnormalities.
