Who can take part

  • You have cirrhosis caused by alcohol that has led to complications like fluid in the belly or confusion.
  • You are between 18 and 70 years old.
  • You do not have a history of serious confusion from liver disease (hepatic encephalopathy grade 2 or higher).
  • You have not had alcohol in the last 6 weeks.
  • You do not have active infection, kidney problems (creatinine above 1.5), or bleeding in the last 2 weeks.
  • You are not allergic to eggs or dairy.
