Comparing two nerve blocks for arm surgery

This study compares two types of nerve blocks (subcoracoid tunnel block and costoclavicular block) to see which works better for numbing the arm during surgery. If you are having a short surgery on your lower arm, hand, or wrist, this trial may help find the most effective pain relief.

Who can take part

  • You agree to take part in the study.
  • You are healthy or have only mild, well-controlled medical conditions (ASA I or II).
  • Your body mass index (BMI) is between 18.5 and 30.
  • You are having surgery on your lower arm, hand, or wrist that lasts less than 2 hours.
  • You are not allergic to the numbing medications used in the block.
  • You do not have a bleeding disorder or take blood thinners, and you have no nerve damage in the area.
