Who can take part
- You need surgery on your hand, wrist, or lower arm that requires a nerve block (numbing injection near the shoulder)
- You are in good overall health (ASA level I–III, meaning no serious heart, lung, or other organ disease)
- You do not have an active infection or skin problem where the injection would be placed
- You are not taking blood thinners and do not have a bleeding disorder
- You do not have pre-existing nerve damage or weakness in the arm being operated on
- Your BMI is 40 kg/m² or lower
