Who can take part

  • You are 22 years old or older.
  • You are scheduled for a planned (not emergency) hernia repair surgery that can be done with small incisions.
  • You are willing to give written consent to join the study.
  • You do not have medical issues that would make general anesthesia or keyhole surgery dangerous.
  • You are not having any other surgery at the same time.
  • You do not have a bleeding disorder, are not pregnant, and your BMI is under 40.
