Who can take part
- You are 18 to 80 years old.
- You have had neck or shoulder pain that started on its own and lasted at least 3 months.
- Your pain in the last week has been at least a 4 out of 10.
- A doctor can feel a tender spot (trigger point) in your upper shoulder muscle that reproduces or worsens your pain.
- You have not had acupuncture or changes in your pain medicines in the past 6 weeks.
