Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You are waiting for bariatric surgery (gastric bypass or sleeve) at Hospital Universitario Virgen del Rocío in Seville.
  • You can do supervised physical exercise.
  • Your body weight is 150 kg (330 pounds) or less.
  • You live within 60 km (37 miles) or 45 minutes by car from Pablo de Olavide University in Seville.
  • You do not have lipedema, a history of cancer, bone disease, or conditions/medications that affect bone health, and you are not on dialysis.
