- You are between 18 and 45 years old
- You are pregnant with one baby (not twins or more)
- You are scheduled for a planned (elective) C-section
- Your C-section will use spinal anesthesia (a numbing shot in your back)
- You do not have preeclampsia, diabetes (gestational or pre-existing), or a BMI over 45
- Your doctor has records of your weight before pregnancy and just before delivery
