Who can take part

  • You are pregnant with one baby (not twins or more).
  • You are at least 18 years old.
  • Your pregnancy is between 37 and 41 weeks along.
  • You do not have serious health problems like high blood pressure, placenta issues, or heart disease.
  • Your body mass index (BMI) is less than 36.
  • You are scheduled for a planned cesarean delivery (not an emergency) and can receive spinal anesthesia.
