Who can take part
- You must be 18 years or older.
- You can have a bunion (hallux valgus) or be in a healthy control group.
- If you have a bunion, you need an X-ray from the last 3 months showing your big toe is angled at least 15 degrees inward.
- You must be able to lie still during the measurement.
- You cannot have had foot or ankle surgery or a serious injury in the last year.
- You cannot have taken certain medications like cortisone in the last 6 months or specific antibiotics in the last 3 months.
- You cannot have other serious foot deformities or professional athletic training.
