- You have stomach or gastro-esophageal junction cancer that is stage cT4a (tumor through the stomach wall but not into nearby organs).
- You have not had chemotherapy, radiation, or other cancer therapy for this tumor before.
- Your general health is good (ECOG score 0 or 1), meaning you are fully active or can do light work.
- Your heart, lungs, liver, kidneys, and blood counts are within safe ranges as tested by your doctor.
- You have no active infections (like HIV, hepatitis B/C, or tuberculosis) and no major bleeding or blood-clot problems.
