Who can take part

  • You need a permanent pacemaker for a slow or irregular heartbeat, as recommended by your doctor.
  • This must be your first pacemaker implant (not a replacement or upgrade).
  • The pacing lead (thin wire) will be placed in the wall between your heart's lower chambers.
  • You must agree to use the pacemaker's remote monitoring feature (sends data to your care team).
  • You cannot have severe heart muscle disease, a very low pumping strength (below 35%), or certain other heart conditions.
  • You must be 18 or older, not pregnant, and able to give consent.
