Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You have been diagnosed with liver scarring (hepatic fibrosis) or cirrhosis, proven by a liver biopsy or imaging test (like Fibroscan or ultrasound) within the last 3 months to 1 year.
  • Your liver enzymes (ALT) are less than 8 times the normal upper limit.
  • You are not pregnant, and if you could become pregnant, you agree to use effective birth control during the study and for 6 months after.
  • You have not had major stomach or intestinal bleeding in the past 3 months, and you do not have a history of liver cancer or a very high risk of it.
